How to Cook Vietnamese Stir Fried Morning Glory with Garlic
Morning glory or water morning glory (rau muống) is one kind of spinach grown popularly in Vietnam. It is nutritious, healthy and delicious. In this video, I show you how to make one of style of Vietnamese stir fried morning glory with garlic (a common recipe).
The ingredients are:
- Water morning glory _ 300 grams
- Garlic _ 7 cloves
- Cooking oil _ 5 soup spoons
- Salt _ 2 tea spoons
- Water _ 1750 milliliters
How it's cooked:
- Boil the water, then put the vegetable into hot water pot. Keep boiling with highest temperature, but without closing the lid. Turn the vegetable around after putting into the hot water pot 1.5 minutes. Continue to boil the remaining side of the vegetable within 1.5 more minutes
- Pour cooking oil into the fry pan
- Fish the vegetable out the pot, and move to the pan
- Remove the garlic skin and chop it into small pieces
- Put garlic into the pan with vegetable
- Stir fry vegetable and garlic within 3 minutes with medium fire.
- Add salt into the fry pan and continue to stir fry within 40 seconds with medium fire
