How to make Croissant Pizza


Croissant represents to the French cuisine, meanwhile pizza belongs to the Italian cuisine. In this video, I tried to combine them in one and also with a little bit variation of the Vietnamese cuisine. 

The ingredients are:

  • 1kg of flour
  • 440ml of fresh milk (non-sugar)
  • Instant yeast
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 2 dry onions
  • 100 grams of beef
  • 20 grams of Mozzarella cheese 
  • 20 grams of sweet corn
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 chili
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 10 basil leaves
  • 1 hen egg

How it's made: 
Make milk reach the temperature of 40-45 Celsius degrees, then dissolve yeast in milk.

Dissolve yeast in milk

Mix flour and milk well. Take the dough rest in 1 hour, then use pestle and mortar to pound the dough until it supple. Leave the dough under the room temperature in least 4 hours.

Pound the dough

Move on preparing the filling. Put tomatoes, a half of the carrot, onions, chili, and 10ml of water into a blender, then blend them. Pour 2 tsp of cooking oil into a fry pan. Pour the tomato mixture into pan. Add 1/2 tsp of salt and 1/2 of seasoning stock in to the tomato sauce. Cook the tomato sauce in pan in 5 mins. Put beef and garlic into a meat grinder, then grind them. Chop the basil into small pieces.

Make the tomato sauce

Roll the dough until thin, afterwards divide half - half the dough. Apply a thin layer of tomato sauce first. After that, put the mince beef on. Next, sprinkle corn, carrot, and basil on. Finally is putting cheese on.

Apply the fillings into the pie

Wrap and knead the dough into a pair of bull horns. Then, beat the egg and apply a thin layer of that with a brush on the surface of the croissant pizza to create color. Bake the croissant pizza in the oven with 175 Celsius degrees in 20 mins each side.
